Energy is a fundamental element for the development of our societies and a key aspect in the transition toward a climate-neutral world.

The current global energy situation presents significant challenges and opportunities. The European Union and Uruguay aspire to work together to transform the future through renewable energy.


In this context, the 4th European Investment Forum in Uruguay was held on October 24 and 25 in Montevideo.


This event was organized by the EU Delegation in Uruguay, the INSPYRAME EU project, implemented by the Chamber of Commerce and Services of Uruguay and the Eurochamber Uruguay, and the EU Public Diplomacy Project in South America, in collaboration with Uruguay XXI and Eurochambres.


The event included a conference on October 24 and a virtual business roundtable on October 25 to facilitate contacts between Uruguayan and European companies in the renewable energy sector.

Launch of the IV EU/UY Investment Forum

The IV European Investment Forum was launched in Uruguay on Thursday, September 15.


The launch was attended by Walter Verri - Undersecretary of Industry, Energy and Mining; Paolo Berizzi - Ambassador of the European Union in Uruguay; Inés Bonicelli - Executive Deputy Director of Uruguay XXI; Julio Lestido - President of CCSU; and Mario Amelotti - President of our Chamber and also President of the European Parliament.


During the event, details were provided on the content of the 4th European Investment Forum in Uruguay, which will take place on October 24 and 25 at the Golf Club. Participants will also be able to participate virtually via streaming.
